Advantages of Verbal Intonation
Verbal intonation is a form of verbal communication and it has following advantages:
1. Successful Job Careers
A person with lower-pitched voices in call center job tend to be more
successful in making contacting, engaging and making sales than a
higher-pitched voices. If an employee speaks more politely when dealing with
customers such as in answering their questions and solving their problems, then
the more he will convince and satisfy the customers, the better for the
organization and him to persuade the customers and having a strong and long
relationship with customers so that they become loyal to the organization. Such
organizations increase their sales and successfully compete in the market as major
segmentation of the customers are satisfied with such effective communication
network of the organization who speaks well due to excellent voice tones during
calls.
2. Ways To Express Emotions
Verbal intonation expresses a person’s emotions i.e., whether he is happy,
sad, anger, surprise, etc., For example, the employees can express their
feelings in front of management if they are disagreed with a particular
decision of the management and can get their rights if the management admit that
this is wrong decision.
If someone in the group disagrees with the decision argue for adjustments,
then he can say that “It is a Good Decision but I have some reservations
pointed out to be noted”. So, he emphasis on the words “but”, “reservations”
and “pointed out to be noted”, in order to change the decision.
In case of excitement and happiness, the greetings words such as Allah (God)
Will Bless You”, We Are Happy For Your Performance” are used to make happy and to
help in build strong coordination among group or team members to achieve common
goals.
In case of anger and frustration, the manager uses negative words to show
his dissatisfaction about the poor performance by saying “The company’s
management decided to remove those members from the team who show below average
performance”.
3. Motivation
A manager motivates his team members by delivering powerful words speech.
He may speak words like “Don’t Mind”, “Try Try Again”, etc., to encourage and,
motivate them and stimulate their performances to achieve organizational objectives
& goals.
4. Represents Confidence Level
If a manager has confidence, then he is able to pronounce words well, express his feelings well, emphasizes on words during his speech in front of audience. In this way business messages convey to the audience effectively and they understand what was said in the speech.
